Ingrown – toenail is disease or better said condition that is manifested with nail growth on the one side of the nail underneath the skin and there are many causes of ingrown toenails.
There are many different ways, including surgical and conventional methods on which you can solve this problem. If you want to avoid those uncomfortable and expensive treatments at the hospitals, in this article we are going to present you one method to solve this problem in your home. It is important to mention that this is practicable only in the early phase and if there are not any signs of complication.

How to remove an ingrown toenail without any surgery

First of all you should make your nails and skin softer and in order to do that, you need to prepare a hot bath. We advise you to pour 3 tablespoons baking soda in around 5 liters of water and some salt. The water that you will use should be less than 37oC. After that, your skin and nails is ready for treatment and you can pull out the nail that has ingrown in your skin.

Another option is to use a sticking plaster to apply it on the noticed ingrown toenail area. On this way you will ease the process as the toenail will become more accessible.

So, in order to raise the end of the nail you need to place cotton in a small amount between the skin and the nail with tweezers. Don’t forget to apply some antibacterial cream like iodine before you place the cotton on the affected area. You should leave the cotton and the wrapper about 24 hours. You should perform this technique for 15 day and the nail must be back in the ordinary condition.

If this procedure is too hard and complicated, you can prepare mixture of 1 tablespoon raw honey with 1 garlic clove (ground) or Aloe Vera on the area that is affected. This mixture has amazingly powerful antiseptic properties.

It is important to mention that the most important part of the method is the skin softening and to change the cotton that is used during the procedure every day. After you finish this procedure, simply scrape the nail’s outer part.
Remember that in future you should perform the pedicures on a regular basis and if you find some infection on the pus and nail, you should consult medical expert.
